A few days ago, Selena was doing nest box cleanup for the Spring season and discovered that a Wood Pecker had obviously claimed a nest box as its own, by enlarging the entry hole to suit itself.
Noticed the relocated aluminum hole guard? Didn’t stop that bird, did it?
We plan to add Wood Pecker boxes in that area and call it “Wood Pecker Woods.”
