Frozen February, Some of It

Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021

Here at The SnK, we’ve been dealing with the cold front the best we can. The drizzle and lower temps caused ice to start forming early, snow last night since 11 pm, plus 40 mph winds.

This combination caused many power outages through the nigh, but luckily for only an hour at a time. GVEC came to the rescue many a time during the night and early morning hours. The temp this morning is 14 degrees, with wind chill factor of -2 degrees, temps are to be no higher than 23 today.

Thank goodness for the fireplace. I’ve been going in and out, taking care of the bird feeders during all this, as it’s the Great Backyard Bird Count Weekend. Yes, I know I’m crazy, but I love my Birdies and we need nature in our lives. I’ve included a few pics.
